The Arcand Lab was proudly represented by outstanding performances from both Rola Al Ghali and Anisha Mahajan at the annual Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS) Conference, held May 8-10, 2025 in Montréal.

Rola presented a research poster highlighting the results of her qualitative study examining Canadians' perceptions and experiences with dietary sodium, while Anisha presented her findings on consumer perceptions of conflicts of interest when dietitians disclose paid industry partnerships on social media.

Rola was selected as Finalist in the Nestlé Graduate Student and Trainee Award competition and received a Christine Gagnon Memorial Travel Award. These are distinctions given to the top 8 abstracts submitted to the conference.

As part of the competition, Rola gave an oral presentation of her research that examined changes in dietary sodium knowledge, attitudes and behaviours among Canadian adults from 2011 and 2024.

Congratulations Rola and Anisha!
