Katherine Jefferson
Katherine's professional training is in dietetics, with almost 10 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian in clinical, community, and public health nutrition, and industry.
She holds a BASc in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph, completed her dietetic internship at Grand River Hospital, and later earned a MHSc from Ontario Tech University under Dr. Arcand with a thesis on the feasibility of implementing an eHealth intervention for dietary sodium reduction in primary care settings.
Katherine supports research planning and implementation, including studies in primary care settings and schools, development and validation of eHealth tools, grants and manuscripts submissions, and financial administration. Her research interests include the development and validation of eHealth technologies, including dietary screening tools and mobile apps, to support dietary assessment, monitoring, and education at the individual and population level.
