Dareen Hassan is a Registered Dietitian in Ontario, Canada, with experience working in a clinical setting, and is currently a PhD candidate at Ontario Tech University.  

​Educated at Toronto Metropolitan University (BASc) and the University of Toronto (MPH), Dareen is committed to continuing her education journey by pursuing a PhD to strengthen her research skills and contribute to filling in the knowledge gaps in the field of public health and nutrition to simplify the public’s ability to practice healthier eating habits and improve their nutrition status.

 

​​Through Dareen’s experience working in a tertiary care setting and witnessing the value of nutrition education for the prevention of various diseases, Dareen has developed an interest in utilizing current technological advancements to improve nutrition and health outcomes.
